First Person
True Blue
By Terry Waggle

The Sky is so full of itself today,
even the thought of a cloud is
kept at bay. And flowers respond
like giddy school girls dressed in
bright frocks, nodding and swaying
in time to the music when the breezes
of Spring invite them to dance.

About the author:
I am a 68 year old grandmother of six who also has written three children's stories. I write a lot of poems which I share with my family and friends. Sometimes, like with this poem, I have one of those "parking lot moments" which is otherwise a case of having to hear the end of an Public Radio story. I was on my way to the grocery store when the idea for the poem came to me. Once I got to the store I pulled out my grocery list and jotted down the poem. I've also done that at long stop lights!
