First Person
My Sister's Solace
By Steve Delafield
July 24, 2008

I know there is a place somewhere
Beyond space and time and my despair,
A place where animal spirits go,
Listen closely they will let you know.
There lions lie with lambs throughout the day,
And pups play with kittens not far away.
In my heart there are two,
One does bark, the other mew,
Who I'm sure will reunite,
Listen with me if you like,
For I know there is a place somewhere.
