Her ball circled the hole one time and a half.
Dana looked at me and started to laugh.
"It stopped on the edge," I said, "then just sat.
I've never seen a golf ball do that!"
If looks could kill I'd now be deleted.
Don't know what I was thinking when I repeated,
"I've never seen a golf ball do that."
She was really not in the mood to chat.
"Sorry," I squirmed like a scrawny trapped rat,
"I've never seen a golf ball do that.
I did not mean to be condescending."
"I'm not angry," she said, "I was merely pretending."
"I've never seen a golf ball do that,"
I slyly exclaimed as I straightened my hat.
Dana said as she plucked her ball from the cup,
"Lowell, why don't you just shut the Hell up!"
