A Prairie Home Companion 25th Anniversary Twenty-five years is not so long in a marriage, but in the Darwinian struggles of radio it's three lifetimes. The dial is right there where the listeners can reach it and they do it all the time. I stand on stage at the Fitzgerald and raise my ruined baritone in some fragrant old tear-jerker and hear so many clicks it's like a geiger counter hitting pure uranium. Somehow we survive these rocky passages and get back to the main current. -GK
