Merry Christmas mom and dad, I'm on my way home to the ranch. Break out the hammer and nails because I'm bringing my diploma, sure Bush did it in 4 years but it takes 6 when you take your own exams.
—Shane Sheridan

To: Garrison
It was wonderful to hear "A Prairie Home Companion" while driving through northern Minnesota on my way back to Canada last Saturday. Every curve in the road was like another Christmas card after the most recent snow storm with the trees and farmyards all laden with snow. The only interuption were the numerous sets of ruts in the snow where cars had evidently hit the ditches and left their mark on the pristine landscape. Thank God for Public radio and tow truck drivers!
—Nels Arvidson

To: John and Katherine Sinko
Happy 40th Anniversary to Mom and Dad. Thanks for coming out here all the way from Milwaukee to spend Christmas in New York. And happy 7th month birthday to Izze.
