To: Garrison Keillor & The Cast at APHC...
I hope to hear this greeting on your show this weekend, but even if I do not, I will always remain a faithful listener. In my 31st year of life, I have found much pain and sadness. From anxiety and stress disorders, to my wife leaving me at the beginning of January of this year. I found myself struggling to wake in the morning and be able to go on with life. My greeting goes to Garrison, and the entire cast and crew of A Prairie Home Companion. Through my darkest and tough times, listening to your show ever weekend has always shown me the lighter side of life, a renewal of faith, and the simpleness and happiness a person can find in life. Now, I have a new and fantastic job where people respect and welcome me, and my very first book that I have written has been picked up by a major publishing company. For the entertainment, and the simple message A Prairie Home Companion has always shown, I thank you all for being there every week, and I hope someday to be there in person to see your wonderful vaudeville. Bless you all... Paul R. Stoner II Oswego, NY

To: Garrison Kellor
Garrison Kellor - I have loved your show for years and attempted [unsuccessful in getting tickets] to attend when in Mnpls / St Paul a few years ago - Enjoyed your recent ANNUAL JOKE SHOW several weeks ago, and wanted to send you the following that my brother sent me for you to use next year: An Indian walks into a cafe..... An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand pulling a male buffalo with the other. He says to the waiter: "Want coffee." The waiter says, "Sure, Chief. Coming right up." He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee. The Indian drinks the coffee down in one gulp, turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun, causing parts of the animal to splatter everywhere and then just walks out. The next morning the Indian returns. He has his shotgun in one hand, pulling another male buffalo with the other. He walks up to the counter and says to the waiter, "Want coffee." The waiter says "Whoa, Tonto! We're still cleaning up your mess from yesterday. What was all that about, anyway?" The Indian smiles and proudly says . "Training for position in United States Congress: Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for rest of day.

To: Garrison Keillor
I returned from Iraq on Christmas Day of 2006. I left Iraq rather hurriedly with a work related injury,(neither combat related or serious). I flew into Memphis, Tennessee and rented an automobile at the airport so I could reach my destination of Jonesboro, Ar. No one was expecting me so I didn't want to call and have someone make the 80 mile journey to Memphis on Christmas day to pick me up. When I got in the automobile and headed out of the parking lot I punched the button on the radio to turn it on and there was Garrison Keillor and the whole crew of Prairie Home Companion doing a show. The radio was already tuned to a public radio station in Memphis. No doubt this was an encore presentation (as they say) of the show I was listening to but who cares. When I am here I listen to the show every time I have the opportunity to and since Prairie Home Companion is my favorite program, radio or TV, I considered this bit of luck a great welcome home after my journey to Iraq. I think the program is great and you and entire crew do a great job. I only wish there were more programs of this caliber. Thank you very much for all of the entertainment I have received from your efforts. Larry Harrell

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Once you figure out which it is you will know exactly what to do. We have now made it through 4 seasons, tons of reasons, and are still living happily together, looking forward to each and every day to come.
