Greetings Terms of Use
- Be responsible when you post.
Do not post any material or links to material that is libelous, defamatory,
false, obscene, violent, abusive, threatening, harassing, or is otherwise
in violation of the law or these guidelines. (To complain about a greeting,
please email A Prairie Home Companion at phc@mpr.org.)
- Your greeting must belong to you.
You may only post content for which you have the copyright or other
specific permission to distribute electronically. You may not violate,
plagiarize, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright,
trademark, trade secret, privacy, or proprietary rights. You acknowledge
that any posted materials are in the public domain.
- You may not incorporate images or audio in your greeting.
- You allow us to use your greeting.
When you send us your greeting, you grant MPR and A Prairie Home Companion an irrevocable,
nonexclusive, royalty-free license to redistribute or republish the
information in any medium or form.
- You may not post greetings of a commercial nature.
You cannot use greetings to distribute or otherwise publish any material
containing requests for money, advertising, or solicitations and promotions
of goods and services.
- You hold us harmless.
MPR and A Prairie Home Companion do not endorse and are not responsible
for any statement, opinion, advice given or made in a greeting by
anyone other than authorized MPR or A Prairie Home Companion representatives.
All greetings are those of the author, and you rely on such information
at your own risk.
- We may withhold or delete your greeting.
MPR reviews greetings before they are posted. We will enforce the policies above through removal of
greetings. In instances of willful abuse of greetings, MPR reserves the
right to take whatever action it determines is appropriate, including the
termination of access privileges and legal action.
