Why Men Go Deer Hunting (GK: Garrison Keillor, SS: Sue Scott, TK: Tom Keith, TR: Tim Russell, RD: Rich Dworsky) SS: I've been thinking about going in and having my highlights redone - I don't know - My hair looks so dull. What do you think? Don't you think it's dull? TR: I like your hair. It looks fine. SS: Mr. Henry says I should think about switching to auburn or something. He says it might counteract the gray better. But I don't know. I always thought you ought to go with something close to your natural color so the roots aren't so noticeable. Or maybe you'd rather it were auburn? Would you? (HE THINKS FOR A MOMENT, NOT SURE WHAT HE'S THINKING ABOUT) TR: It's nice like you have it. SS: Some people say gray hair is really striking. Euuuuu. I say, thank God for chemicals. Gray: ish. - And now I'm getting these darn lines around the corners of my mouth - I do smiling exercises trying to get rid of them and I don't notice any difference at all. Do you? Look. TR: What? SS: The lines around my mouth. Are they going away or are they getting worse? TR: I don't see any - SS: You know something. I've decided I really need to lose weight. Don't you think? TR: No, not really. SS: You don't? I do. I really do. All you need to do is look at me. I need to lose a lot of weight. Ten, twenty pounds. TR: Oh? SS: You don't think I should lose weight? TR: Whatever makes you feel better. SS: So you do think I should lose weight. TR: I don't know. SS: You don't know? What does that mean? You mean, you don't notice? you don't look at me? TR: I think you look fine. SS: I've been reading a lot of good things about this new diet drug, it's called Denizen, it's not only an appetite suppressant, it also keeps fat from being absorbed by the body. It's supposed to be really good. What do you think? Should I try it? TR: Sure, why don't you. SS: I thought you just said I didn't need to lose weight.
