Tomorrow I'll be saying six masses here at St. Stephanie's and when you put in a day like that, you've got to have the proper footwear. You need tight shoes like you need a left-handed altarboy. That's why I always get Big Black Brogans from Guy's ---- I tell all the young seminarians: Forget about fashion! Get a big shoe because as a priest you're going to be doing a lot of standing. And then you kneel and a tight shoe can cut off circulation in your toes. So when you stand up again, you stagger and everybody in the congregation thinks the old man's hitting the bottle again. But Guy's Big Black Brogans ----- you can doze off at the pulpit and these shoes will keep you standing up. And make you look professional in the confessional.
