Special Guests Saturday, April 17, 2004 Comedian Paula Poundstone is one of the most enduring stars to come out of the 1980s comedy boom. Her specials for HBO, Cats, Cops and Stuff and Paula Poundstone Goes to Harvard both won Cable ACE Awards, and she won the American Comedy Award for best female stand-up comedian in 1989. She has also been a regular contributing editor and columnist for Mother Jones magazine and was producer and voice talent for a children's audio book project called Completely Yours. She continues to tour the country giving stand-up comedy performances. Vince Giordano has been a working musician since the age of 15. He is the founder and leader of Vince Giordano's Nighthawks, a band dedicated to performing the music from Jazz's golden age. He has performed at the Smithsonian, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center. He played Sean Penn's bassist in Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown, and also works as an archivist for BMG records. |
