This week, as we launch our fleet of long ships for the journey to Reykjavik Iceland, we'll present a special re-broadcast from May 2003. It's a harmonic convergence of the Fishing Opener, Mother's Day and Syttende Mai in Lake Wobegon. Featuring soprano Maria Jette and Dan Chouinard, Howard Levy, VocalEssence, Robin & Linda Williams, violinist Jorja Fleezanis, and original Powdermilk Biscuit: Adam Granger.
In Lake Wobegon, Myrtle Krebsbach sets off weight loss mania, causing 300 people with 500 chins to lose 4000 pounds in 10 weeks.

This week, we'll broadcast a very special show from the National Theater of Iceland, in Reykjavik. Featured guests include; The Fóstbræður Male Choir, Iceland's leading singer-songwriter Diddú, actor John C. Reilly, author Bill Holm, and sitting in with the Guy's All-Star Shoe Band, master of the diatonic harmonica Howard Levy. Dusty and Lefty will fly over, too, and also Guy Noir, and Jim and Barb of the Ketchup Advisory Board. Tune it to see if Icelanders sit in silent puzzlement or if they clap and stuff.
