May 13, 2006
This week, as we launch our fleet of long ships for the journey to Reykjavik Iceland, we'll present a special re-broadcast from May 2003. It's a harmonic convergence of the Fishing Opener, Mother's Day and Syttende Mai in Lake Wobegon. Featuring soprano Maria Jette and Dan Chouinard, Howard Levy, VocalEssence, Robin & Linda Williams, violinist Jorja Fleezanis, and original Powdermilk Biscuit: Adam Granger.
In Lake Wobegon, Myrtle Krebsbach sets off weight loss mania, causing 300 people with 500 chins to lose 4000 pounds in 10 weeks.
