Un Compagnon des Maisons de la Prairie

This week on a Prairie Home Companion, we're bringing a touch of French flavor to the Midwest, live from the Civic Center in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The grande rendezvous will include maestros of Cajun music BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, French folk chanteuse Francine Roche, and Mark Stillman — accordionist extraordinaire. The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band and Royal Academy of Radio Actors Tim Russell, Sue Scott, and Sound Effects Man Fred Newman will supply that special je ne sais quoi, plus Café Boeuf, Guy Noir, and keeping au courant with Lake Wobegon.
