Back in the Big Apple


This week on A Prairie Home Companion, we are back for another live broadcast from The Town Hall located in the heart of Times Square in New York, NY. Karan Casey will bring a bit of the Irish sod to the Great White Way, while fiddler Sara Watkins and her bluegrass band will have you dancing to another jig. Also with us, The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band, Royal Academy of Radio Actors Tim Russell, Sue Scott and sound effects man Mr. Fred Newman, plus Garrison will have all the latest, Post-Thanksgiving News from Lake Wobegon.

With songs and tunes from jazz pianist Butch Thompson, mandolin maestro Peter Ostroushko, Dakota Dave Hull and the first house band, The Powdermilk Biscuit Band (Adam Granger, Bob Douglas and Mary DuShane).
