GK: We interrupt this program for a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. This is only a test. This is not an actual emergency.

(RUNNING FOOTSTEPS DOOR OPEN)

SS: Hi. Is something wrong

TR: No. Just testing.

(DOG GROWL)

SS: Is that your dog?

TR: No, I thought it was your dog.

SS: Are you sure this is only a test?

(DOG GROWL)

TR: It says right here: this is only a test.

SS: Who told you to read that?

TR: I can't tell you that.

SS: I feel that something is terribly terribly wrong.

(SLIGHT SHAKING OF DISHWARE, GLASSES)

SS: The whole room----- it feels like the house might collapse----- and what is that at the window?

OFF, FIENDISH LAUGHTER

DRIPPING

SS: Something dripping from the ceiling. It's------ it's blood.

OFF, FIENDISH LAUGHTER

TR (FIEND, QUIET): I have a brief PowerPoint presentation.

SS: No! No! Not a PowerPoint presentation!!!

TR (FIEND): It is a very brief PowerPoint presentation.

SS: No!!! Please!!!!

TR (FIEND): Will someone turn the lights off, please?

SS PANICKY BREATHING

(PAUSE)

GK: This was a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. This was only a test. This was not an actual emergency.

(BAND RESUME, DEAD START, MID-PHRASE)
